The Bundeswehr was established with the swearing in of the first volunteers on 12 November 1955.
This special exhibition combines 60 ‘speaking’ exhibits on a journey through time from 1955 to 2015.
The objects and documents tell of the ups and downs, of people and their stories, from technology, strategies and policy decisions, of encounters, of fear, violence and disappointments, but also of friendship, dedication and success.
